With our skippered yacht charters you can choose to enjoy part of your time lying in the sun, or visiting local harbours and then take some time to learn to sail.

We can also offer full RYA day skipper and competent crew courses which offer a more focused way to learn to sail, and you also obtain a world wide recognised certificate if you are competent by the end of the course.

Sailing holidays in Greece are relaxing, but can also be full of adventure as you explore the Islands in the Ionian Sea. Charming harbours are filled with quaint fishing boats, as well as great tavernas, there are many people to meet and areas to explore.

The Ionian Islands are generally close together and the Southern Ionian area is protected from the prevailing North Westerly wind by the islands of Lefkas and Kefallonia which prevents large seas building up, with mild winds and no tide, the area is ideal for those who want to learn to sail.

Sail Ionian is a small, friendly, family owned and run yacht charter company based on the island of Lefkas in Greece, ideally located for sailing holidays exploring the Southern and Northern Ionian.

We specialise in Bareboat Yacht Charter, Assisted Sailing and RYA Sailing Courses. For the less experienced sailors, we are pleased to skipper your yacht for part or all of your sailing holiday whilst you gain confidence.

Our aim is to provide the highest standard of sailing holiday possible to all of our clients, both new and returning. This is achieved by maintaining constant high levels of yacht maintenance, cleaning and staff training. All our charter yachts have completed no more than four seasons of charter, with NEW yachts being added each year. All yachts from 36 foot upwards are teak decked and fully equiped. In the unlikely event of you needing support, backup is provided by a large rib which can reach anywhere in the Southern Ionion in a short space of time.
