Oyster 70 Apollonia Luxury Crewed Charter

Sail Ionian now have available an Oyster 70 for those who like the extra luxury of a crewed charter aboard a larger yacht.

One of only 4 Oyster 70s, Apollonia is a fast and comfortable cruising yacht from the
classic Oyster fleet. The fastidious owner limits chartering to four weeks a year December through to August, now you too can enjoy the pleasure of island cruising aboard this beautiful yacht.

Fully refitted in 2010 the interior is both of a high quality and very comfortable. There is ample deck space for relaxing and sunbathing, with a spacious cockpit covered by a bimini (sun tent) to provide shade and keep cool. The aft deck is often used for mealtimes and entertaining, with table seating for 6 guests in the cockpit. We can accommodate 6 charter guests in three en suite cabins, with the crew in their own cabin.

Many of out charters commence in St. Lucia which then gives a fantastic downwind sail, exploring the Caribbean islands of St. Vincent, Bequia, Mystique, Union, Canouan, The Tobago Quays, Petit Martinique, Petit St. Vincent, Carriacou, and Grenada.

Of course there is far too much too see in a single week or even a fortnight, if you are new to the area the skipper will advise on the best bays as well as the best resturants. You will of course expect to catch fresh fish for those onboard BBQs, and have a lobster feast at one of the many beach BBQs.

Whether you're looking for an active sailing week working alongside the crew, or a more laid back week of relaxation we can tailor your itinerary according to your wishes. With the yacht anchored in one of the Caribbean's many idyllic secluded bays you will be spoilt for choice with activities, whether it be swimming in the crystal clear waters, a spot of snorkelling, investigating further ashore in the high speed rib or fuelling some adrenaline with some water-sport activities.

Our aim is to provide an unforgettable holiday tailored to your needs. We are able to vary our itineraries to suit your availability, and will also be pleased to advise on suitable shore accommodation if required at the start or end of your holiday.

Exterior

With a spacious teak Aft deck and BBQ there are plenty of opportunities for entertainment and perhaps the chance to cook the fish you may have caught! Fishing equipment is available with specialist rods, and with the expert knowledge of skipper Nico (who recently won the ARC 2010 fishing prize!) you're sure to be in with a chance. The cockpit is fitted with cushions for optimum comfort and features a sociable table area for mealtimes and evening drinks. For the more adventurous we do have water-sport activities available through use of our High Speed Rib (40HP Yamaha Outboard), including waterskiing and tubing, and for the more fainthearted we have snorkelling equipment also available.
