Sail Ionian is located on the island of Lefkas in Vliho bay, 30-40 minutes driving from Preveza airport. We are situated ideally for both North and South Ionian sailing areas.

Anyone who has experienced a sailing holiday in Greece around the Ionian Islands will tell you it truly is the best sailing destination in the Greek Islands, with over fifty overnight stops in the Southern Ionian alone.

Once you have decided to take a sailing holiday in Greece the next step is to select a boat. The size of yacht you chose for your sailing holiday is in influenced by your experience, skills, qualifications, the number of people that need to be accommodated, and of course your personal preference on space and cost.

We recommend the maximum number of people for each size of yacht, but all of our the yachts, are coded for at least 2 more than this number, experienced sailors often chose a larger yacht to give them more room, the choice is yours it’s your sailing holiday in Greece.

Do you require a skipper for all or part of your sailing holiday in Greece or are you (or someone else in your group) qualified and experienced to sail the yacht selected? Being qualified in Greece means you have a suitable sailing certificate and/or have experience to handle a yacht of the size and type selected.

At Sail Ionian, for people without formal qualifications we will issue a sailing certificate to suitably experienced people. If you are in doubt about your abilities or those of the crew please contact us for advice. We are quite happy to provide training at all levels we want to make your sailing holiday a success, so you come back year after year.

Sail Ionian is a small, friendly, family owned and run yacht charter company based on the island of Lefkas in Greece, ideally located for sailing holidays exploring the Southern and Northern Ionian.

We specialise in Bareboat Yacht Charter, Assisted Sailing and RYA Sailing Courses. For the less experienced sailors, we are pleased to skipper your yacht for part or all of your sailing holiday whilst you gain confidence.

Our aim is to provide the highest standard of sailing holiday possible to all of our clients, both new and returning. This is achieved by maintaining constant high levels of yacht maintenance, cleaning and staff training. All our charter yachts have completed no more than four seasons of charter, with NEW yachts being added each year. All yachts from 36 foot upwards are teak decked and fully equiped. In the unlikely event of you needing support, backup is provided by a large rib which can reach anywhere in the Southern Ionion in a short space of time.
