Level 1

A perfect introduction to powerboats! The course covers launching and recovering, safety equipment, boat handling and manouvres, ropework and much much more.

Assumed knowledge: None.

Course Duration: 1 day, minimum age 8.

Cost: £150

Level 2

This course teaches boat handling and seamanship in powerboats. The course will be conducted in a number of different powerboats and covers a wide range of topics suited for both the novice and more experienced powerboater. This qualification also allows for the application of an ICC (international certificate of competence) which is becoming more and more essential in most of Europe.

Direct Assessment for experienced powerboaters

Sail Ionian offers the Level 2 direct assessment. This is not a course but a means of achieving the Level 2 certification and the ability to apply for the ICC. This assessment is available to experienced powerboaters only.
