Nova Stella, our new Nautitech 41 Type S, joins the Sail Ionian fleet in September. She is one of the most exciting new catamarans to arrive in the Ionian — a modern, lightweight performance cruising catamaran designed for guests who want space, comfort and genuine sailing enjoyment.

The 41 Type S is not just another charter catamaran. Designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group, she combines sleek reverse bows, a compact coach-roof, twin aft helms and a light, responsive feel under sail. She has the comfort and stability expected from a catamaran, but with the added pleasure of a boat that is designed to reward those who love sailing.

Early test-sail feedback from Hull 1 has been extremely positive. Nova Stella will be Hull 3, and her owner recently had the opportunity to sail the first boat. Under standard-size sails, with 10–11 people on board, the boat reportedly reached 15.7 knots without surfing. More importantly, the sailing was described as fast, enjoyable and confidence-inspiring, with excellent performance even in lighter conditions.

For charter guests, this means a catamaran that offers much more than space alone. Nova Stella is ideal for families, couples or experienced sailors who want comfort at anchor, easy handling, excellent visibility and the chance to enjoy proper sailing between the islands.

Her 3-cabin layout includes a generous owner’s suite occupying one hull, two additional double cabins, two heads and a spacious saloon and cockpit arrangement. The design feels modern, open and practical, with excellent flow between the cockpit, saloon and deck areas.
