The Greek Passenger Locator Form must be filled in at least 24 hours prior to your flight – online here – with arrivals subject to random testing. This testing is quick and easy and takes no longer than 15 minutes.
You need to have either:
This applies to anyone over the age of 12 years old (as of 19/6).
Remember – Government advice does not prohibit travel to amber list countries, it is only advice. All our guests have said how easy and stress-free their journeys have been.
Restaurants, cafes, bars and shops are open
Masks must be worn in all indoor public places – masks are no longer required outside (update 24/6)
Social distancing rules are still in place.
New regulations regarding the movement between islands state that all passengers over the age of 6 years old must perform a rapid test on arrival BEFORE embarking the yacht – unless you are fully vaccinated. You will need to fill in a form to declare a negative result – this form is provided in the office on your arrival. We suggest bringing a few rapid tests with you as the pharmacies here tend to be closed on a Sunday. You should perform a self test every 3-4 days.
The cases across the country have dropped significantly with the lowest deaths, cases and intubations for a long time.
Here on Lefkada there are very few, if any, cases. With the current mask-wearing & social distancing rules in place, it feels extremely safe. Getting out on the water is a perfect way to avoid contact with others.
The vaccination operation Blue Freedom continues across the country with all over 18s on a number of islands (including Lefkada) now offered the vaccine.
Depending on where you are traveling to next, you will need to follow the rules of that country.
As of 4th October, if you are fully vaccinated and returning to the UK, there is no need to carry out a pre-departure test. Just fill in the UK PLF and book your day 2 test.
For other countries, c heck with your airline and your destination country what testing is required. Most likely you will need either a lateral flow test or a PCR test and to fill in your arrival country’s Passenger Locator Form.
The Lateral Flow Test must be performed by a healthcare professional here in Greece or under the supervision of a healthcare professional. This is a quick test with a quick results turnaround.
You can take the lateral flow test in the following medical centres:
Alternatively Qured offer videocall supervision. If you are travelling from the UK to Greece, order the test kit prior to travel and bring it with you, then organise a videocall to take the test live on video chat and receive your fit-to-fly certificate into your email inbox in just 20 minutes.
There are also test centres here in the area to take a PCR test if required:
You should contact the test centre of your choice to organise pre-booking the tests.
