We do not run the traditional southern Ionian flotilla in Greece but we have tailored it with our own invention: ‘The informal flotilla’.
The informal flotilla is perfect for those who prefer to have a bit of backup or assistance with mooring, but do not necessarily want to have the restriction of group dinners or fixed flotilla routes. We have an experienced crew who will help you moor up in the evening and then see you clear the following morning. This gives you not only extra peace of mind at busy times of the year, but also a chance to be meeting up with others on the flotilla, if you wish each evening.
We don’t insist you’re in by 3 or 4 o’clock just when the sailing is getting good, we will help you even if you are a late arrival.
If you are choosing a flotilla for your first sailing holiday. We recommend having one of our qualified instructors on board with you for the first day (depending on your experience) – this will help cover important safety information and build the confidence and capability of you and your crew for rest of your holiday. All of this helps make your flotilla holiday in Greece a stress free and relaxing experience.
You don’t have to join us everyday – overall a more flexible alternative!
There is a charge of £300 per boat for the week – this service is only running May half term, July & August school holidays & October half term. Wednesday bookings please note – the flotilla starts on a Sunday, contact the office for more information on flotilla options.

We run our informal southern Ionian flotilla sailing for the whole week throughout July & August. This is perfect for those with children who may want company their own ages (and for the adults who can then enjoy some downtime) and for those who want a little bit of peace of mind assistance during the busy holiday months.
Our lead boat with a least 2 crew, normally a skipper and engineer will be running the flotilla in our own Sail Ionian style, so it will still be a laid back approach. There is no pressure to rush to be moored up by a certain time or participate in organised games and group meals. All very flexible between flotilla joiners.
Sail with or without a skipper on board to the first destination. We meet you in, help you moor the yacht if necessary and check you are have everything you need. You can then relax on the beach for your first night in Greece.
We offer optional free mooring practice in a nearby harbour for anyone wanting to join. We also offer free long line practice for anyone wanting to stay the night in bays during the week. Afterwards, sail with or without a skipper on board to another harbour for the evening where you can moor with our yachts, or choose to moor separately. Some of our yachts choose to have drinks with us the first evening and we can advise on ‘what’s hot and what’s not’ for the evening.
We check that you are organised and ready when leaving the harbour. We are always available to advise and make suggestions of the best places for lunch and a swim and meet you in the evening in the next harbour and help you moor up.
