New Bavaria Cruiser 37

Why Choose the Bavaria Cruiser 37?

The success of the Bavaria Cruiser 37 comes from its ability to do several things extremely well.

It is large enough to provide genuinely comfortable accommodation for extended cruising, yet remains a manageable yacht for a couple or family. Twin helm stations provide excellent visibility and leave the centre of the cockpit open for guests, while the large bathing platform transforms the stern when at anchor.

Under sail, the Cruiser 37 is designed to offer considerably more than simply getting you from one destination to another. Its generous sail area and efficient hull provide rewarding performance, while the cockpit and control layout are designed to make the yacht straightforward to handle. Bavaria specifically emphasises the combination of sporty sailing characteristics, safe handling and an efficient cockpit layout.

This combination makes the Bavaria Cruiser 37 particularly well suited to sailing in Greece, where enjoyable passages between islands are combined with long afternoons at anchor and evenings spent in harbour.

Commissioning and Delivery

Your new Bavaria yacht is delivered by road from the Bavaria Yachts factory to Slovenia, where it undergoes full commissioning prior to launch. This includes preparation of the yacht, stepping and rigging the mast, installation and checking of equipment, and completion of the necessary pre-launch work. Once commissioned and launched, the yacht is sailed from Slovenia to our base in Lefkas, Greece. Our commissioning and delivery allowance includes provision for an experienced skipper to assist you with the delivery passage, helping ensure the yacht arrives in Lefkas ready for final preparation.

Coding and Licences

For a yacht to operate commercially for charter in Greece, it must be owned by a European company, correctly registered and comply with the applicable Greek maritime, safety and commercial requirements. This involves considerably more than simply purchasing and delivering the yacht. For yachts entering our Greek charter fleet, we arrange, a Greek company in the owners name (which we administer in its entirety) the necessary Greek registration, commercial/charter documentation, radio licensing, safety and seaworthiness certification, together with the associated registrations and administrative procedures required before the yacht can legally commence charter operations. The process involves a number of different authorities and supporting documents, and our experienced team manages this bureaucracy on the owner's behalf so that the yacht is properly documented and ready for charter operation. Greek commercial yachts are also subject to registration requirements through the Greek electronic Register of Ships.

The Coding and licenses section also includes setting up the buyers Greek company and the associated bank accounts in the owners name, it is all very simple for a new buyer with only a single signature being required.

The buyers Greek company is free from corporation tax, the benefits shown above are after current known Greek taxes.

Why Buy a Bavaria Cruiser 37 in Greece?

The 2027 Bavaria Cruiser 37 is an excellent choice for owners seeking a modern cruising yacht that combines comfortable three-cabin accommodation, manageable dimensions and enjoyable sailing performance. Its twin helm stations, open cockpit, large bathing platform and bright interior make it particularly well suited to family sailing in the Ionian and operation within a professionally managed charter fleet.

A new Cruiser 37 purchased through Sail Ionian enters our established Yacht Partnership and Yacht Management programme in Greece. Owners enjoy agreed periods of personal use and benefit from charter income, while our Lefkas team manages the charter operation, maintenance and day-to-day requirements.

A Flexible 2027 Specification

The Bavaria Cruiser 37 allows the owner to select the factory options and equipment that best suit their sailing plans. Sail Ionian then helps develop a practical specification for owner holidays and commercial charter operation in Greece.

The suggested specification shown on this page includes the principal factory options, ancillary equipment, commissioning and delivery costs. It can be adjusted to suit the purchaser's requirements before the yacht is ordered.

From the Bavaria Factory to Lefkas

Bavaria sailing yachts are built at the Bavaria Yachts shipyard in Giebelstadt, Germany. Sail Ionian manages the process from ordering the yacht and confirming its specification through to commissioning, delivery and preparation for operation from our Lefkas base.

We also coordinate registration, licensing, safety requirements and the other formalities necessary for commercial operation in Greece. Owners who would like to participate in the delivery passage can discuss the available arrangements with our team.

Equipped for Sailing in Greece

The factory specification is only the starting point when preparing a new yacht for life in the Ionian. Sail Ionian supplies and installs the additional equipment required for Mediterranean cruising and charter operation, including a tender and electric outboard, upgraded anchoring equipment, passerelle, solar charging, cabin fans and the practical equipment needed for stern-to mooring.

This means the Cruiser 37 arrives in Lefkas prepared for both the owner's holidays and its first charter season.

Yacht Partnership and Charter Management

Once established in Lefkas, the Bavaria Cruiser 37 joins the Sail Ionian professionally managed charter fleet. Our team handles charter marketing and bookings, guest support, engineering and maintenance, berthing, cleaning, turnaround preparation and ongoing administration.

Owners retain agreed periods for their own use of the yacht, allowing them to enjoy sailing in the Ionian while charter income contributes towards the cost of ownership. Because Sail Ionian manages the complete operation from its own base, owners do not need to arrange separate marina facilities, maintenance contractors, cleaning, charter administration or guest support.

Ongoing Support in Lefkas

Our engineering, quay and support teams look after the Cruiser 37 throughout the sailing season and during the winter. We manage routine servicing, inspections, maintenance, repairs, winter preparation and agreed equipment upgrades.

For owners who live outside Greece, this provides the reassurance of having an experienced local team caring for the yacht throughout the year.

A Managed Route to Bavaria Cruiser 37 Ownership

Buying a new Bavaria Cruiser 37 through Sail Ionian is more than simply purchasing a yacht. We assist with specification, commissioning, delivery, Greek company formation, registration and preparation for charter operation, followed by ongoing management and technical support from our Lefkas team.

For a buyer who wants a new Bavaria Cruiser 37 in the Ionian without having to manage the day-to-day demands of operating a yacht overseas, the Sail Ionian Yacht Partnership provides an established and professionally supported solution.
