Sail Ionian equips its charter fleet with ePropulsion Spirit electric outboards, delivering 1kW power which is equivalent to 3hp for efficient tender use. Introduced in 2020, these sustainable outboards replace 2.3hp petrol models across the fleet due to strong guest demand.
Electric outboards are cleaner for Ionian yacht charters, no petrol fumes, spills or oil protect local marine life, while zero engine noise lets you enjoy the peace and quiet. They're easy to charge via onboard yacht chargers, with batteries lasting around 1.5 hours for bay pottering or beach trips, and a full recharge in just 8 hours.
Operation is simple: attach to the dinghy, use the magnetic kill switch, power on, and check the digital display for battery and output levels. Maintenance-free design means reliable performance and floating batteries for safety. Guest feedback remains overwhelmingly positive for these eco-friendly electric outboards.
