Launching Day!

Today we start launching our fleet ready for the start of the season

 

Winter is officially OVER

Some pictures of the launching today... we've started with Firefly, our Bavaria 34! Because of the positioning of some of the yachts close to the water, the men in the boat yard launched her manually using a sled - the more traditional way of launching boats. As more room is created in the yard, they will use a tractor and trailer.

Off she goes, we pop a  couple of skippers on each boat and an engineer to check the engine is working properly, and that the bilges remain dry.

And here she is moored up safely on our pontoon... ready now for her bimini and sprayhood to be put back on, another good clean, various engineering checks, all sorts of other jobs and then she is 'summer-ready'!
